Donna Cuthbertson began her dance training in 1997 at the age of 13 at Hilton Hall Dance Academy in Maidstone, Kent as well drama training at the Hazlitt Youth Theatre. Although a late starter to the world of dance and performance, after achieving high results in her ISTD exams, performing in the annual dance shows at the local theatre and having the amazing opportunity to perform at Her Majesty's Theatre London, Donna knew this was the career for her.

In 2000, Donna successfully auditioned for a place at college and completed a two year course obtaining a Btec National Diploma in Dance alongside studying to teach the IDTA syllabus obtaining her certificate as a Graduate Teacher in Modern Jazz. During the evenings and weekends, Donna taught children dance in Schools and community centres and entering them into exams.

In 2002, Donna landed her first performing role in Malaga, Spain in a theme park show team before returning to the UK and working with P&O as a freelancer providing children's entertainment and being part of the show team. In 2004 she returned to Spain, this time to the resort Salou in the North East and formed part of the show team proving entertainment in hotels around the resort.

In 2005 Donna returned to the UK and successfully auditioned to become a Butlins Redcoat in Minehead, Somerset before transferring to Skegness Butlins in Lincolnshire in 2006.

In 2007, at the age of 22, Donna met her now husband and they settled down back in Maidstone and started a family but she still kept her hand in dance and performance appearing as the star of Dick Whittington in Tonbridge and freelancing as a choreographer for various shows as well as assisting with the annual performance of her old dance school.

Fast forwards to today, Donna and her family have now been living in the Orkney Islands for the past 7 years. She previously co ran the Picky Dance Academy and is Founder and Director of Orkney Dance & Fitness Ltd, a Social Enterprise providing Dance and Fitness classes in the community based in the West Mainland.
